Reginald A. "Reggie" McClung


PARADISE VALLEY-Funeral for Reginald A. "Reggie" McClung, 96, Paradise Valley, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Crittendon, pastor, officiating.

Mr. McClung died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 at a Lawton care center.

Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery, under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.

He was born Dec. 7, 1908, on a farm in rural Lawton, to Forest B. McClung and Viva D. Shroyer McClung.

He married Alice Burns, on Feb. 10, 1930. She died in 1966. They farmed and ran a dairy for many years. He also hauled gravel and worked on the ranch. They bought a store/café in this area on Oct. 18, 1947, and named it McClung Acres. He owned this store/café until recently.

He married Hattie Ernce in 1969 and she died in the late 1980's.

He was a member of the Paradise Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Lou and Lewis "Luke" Hale, Lawton; a brother and sisters-in-law: Joyce McClung , Eva McClung, and Ruby McClung; a granddaughter, Ricky Hale and his wife, Rhinda, Portland, OR; four great grandchildren: Lewis T. McCracken, Vanessa Hale, Adam Hale and Zachary Hale; a great-great-granddaughter, Autumn Alice McCracken; a stepdaughter, Peggy and her husband, Carl; a stepson, Pat Ernce and his wife, Rita; four step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; two sisters: Gladys and Donna; and Five brothers: Loyd, Charlie, Guy, Ralph and Woodie.
