Fern Sylvia [Gordon] Massey

ADA - Services for Fern S. Massey, 90, of Ada, formerly of Fletcher, are at 10 a.m. today in the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; the Rev. John Haynes, son-in-law, will officiate. Burial will follow at 3 p.m at the Paradise Valley Cemetery, northwest of Lawton.

Mrs. Massey died Friday, May 22, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Gotebo to Ray and Sylvia Ryerson Gordon.

She attended Gotebo schools.

She married Jim Massey June 10, 1947. Mrs. Massey was a homemaker and later on a caregiver. She attended Sterling Baptist Church and was also a preschool Sunday school teacher. Currently, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Haynes and husband John of Ada; three sons, J.B. Massey and wife Linda of Fort Smith, Arkansas, George Massey of Ada and Tim Massey of Fletcher; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim Massey, on May 10, 1991.

Bearers will be John Haynes Jr., Jimmy Massey, David Boyd, Danny Jennejohn, Chris Ussery and James Tollett Jr.
