Meldercus Dewayne Johnson

Meldercus "Dewayne" Johnson was born on February 6, 1981 in Anniston, AL to Terry L. Johnson and Inez E. Calvin. He died in Lawton, OK on April 13, 2014 at the age of 33.

Dewayne was raised and attended school in Lawton. He worked at several positions in the fast food industry prior to attending trade school to become a welder. After earning his welding certificate, Dewayne worked as a self-employed welder. His spare time was spent doing things with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Survivors include two children, Dezhire Burton and Jakiveion Johnson, both of Lawton; his mother, Inez Elaine Calvin of Memphis, TN; a brother, Gregory Calvin and his wife Margarite, also in Memphis; four sisters, Angela Taylor and husband Darren of Pine Grove, KY, Renata Golden and her fiance Randy Wright of Lawton, Tiffani Cobb and her husband Jerome of Memphis, TN, and Tereka Morris of Huntsville, AL. Dewayne is also survived by a large extended family which includes nieces, Tierra Keyes of Pine Grove, KY, Desare Easley of Lawton, Angelica Taylor and Jenae Taylor, both of Memphis, TN; nephews, Darren (DJ) Taylor, Jr. and Frankie (Cooper) Easley, both of Lawton, and numerous additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
