Lonnie Grice

July 3, 1941 - July 1, 2019

Memorial service for Lonnie Grice will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 8, 2019 at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Post Cemetery under the direction of Whinery Huddleston Funeral Service.
Lonnie was born July 3, 1941 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to William and Lucille Terry Grice. He married Ghislaine on March 26, 1969 in Columbia, South Carolina, his wife of 50 years. Lonnie served over 20 years in the United States Army. He received the Quilt of Valor Recipient award in 2018 and earned many medals and badges throughout his career; Four overseas service bars and 7 service stars. He also belonged to many organizations including: Triangle Masonic Lodge 548, Lawton Lodge 183, Lawton York Rite Bodies and the International Sponsorship of Foreign Students, Ft. Sill ISD. His hobbies were fishing, gardening, building lawn furniture, and cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
Lonnie Grice, 77, of Lawton Oklahoma, passed away July 1, 2019 surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Elaine Huggins; his son Patrick Huggins; his brother, Joe Scott and his sister, Louise Reynolds. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Ghislaine Grice; his daughters, Patricia Cunningham of Lawton, Cathy and Dewey Janz of Duncan, OK, Beatrice Snyder of Lawton, and Priscilla and Casey Wyatt of Duncan; his sons, John Huggins of Florida and Jimmie Huggins of Lawton; his brothers, Jerry Grice of Missouri, Kenneth Scott and Carthel Scott both of Arkansas; his sisters, Ladonna Jackson, Patsy Henderson, Melba O'Bryan and Bonnie Morris all of Arkansas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart.
