Master Sgt. Bobby Ray Morgan

Death date: January 26, 2015

Master Sgt. Bobby Ray Morgan, 78, died Monday, 26 Jan 2015, in Lawton.

Burial will be with full military honors.

He was born Mar 3, 1936 in Wolfe City, Texas to Henry M. and Rosa Lee Morgan.

He graduated from Wolfe City High School and was drafted in the United States Army in 1964.

He married Silvia Caballero in Panama June 15, 1964.

He retired at Fort Sill, OK after 20 years of service. He was a dedicated Vietnam Veteran. He volunteered for the Disabled Veterans of America, Lawton Senior Citizens and worked tirelessly helping out at the Northwest Baptist Church where he was a current member.

Bobby will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving person. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend. He loved fishing, collecting, working on clocks and watches, and telling stories from his time in Vietnam.

He had the biggest blue eyes and a smile that would light up a room. When you came to visit Bobby you'd never leave hungry; he was a avid chef, both cooking and baking. There was nothing better than his freshly baked bread.

He loved his family more than anything in the world. He loved his wife Silvia so much; they had just celebrated their 50th anniversary in June 2014.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Silvia; daughter, Linda [Morgan] Goin of Lawton, OK; Nancy and son-in law, Lance Frederick, two grandsons Colby and Casey of Edmond, OK; his adopted daughter, Rosemary Morgan, Oklahoma City, and grandson Joshua Dunton, Caimbridge, MA; special friend Jane Houston, Lawton, OK; special military friend SSG Nathan Akridge, Fort Sill, OK; sister Billie Barnett, Bonham, TX; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bobby never met a stranger, he was kind and loving to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Linda, who was with him daily throughout his recent illness.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, one brother HB Morgan and two sisters, Wanda and Jean.
