Robert Dean Bridges

Robert Dean "Bob" Bridges, 65, of Chickasha, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Oklahoma City. The son of Richard Maurice and Lucinda Viola [Byrd] Bridges, he was born October 23, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Bob joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

He married Evelyn Mae Malone on June 12, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

In his spare time, Bob enjoyed raising and caring for his birds and riding his motorcycle. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Bob worked for many years as a carpenter and a truck driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a niece.

Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bridges, of Chickasha; three sons, Robert Bridges and wife, Carolyn, of Noble, Wesley Bridges and wife, Jennifer, of Chickasha, and Jonathan Bridges of Chickasha; four grandchildren, Makayla Bridges, J.D. Bridges, Zara Diaz, and Rhyle Richardson; one sister, Sonja Newman and husband, Richard, of Eufaula; two brothers, Jimmy Bridges and wife, Jan, of Texas, and Ronnie Sanders of McLoud; Darrell Drew and Danny Arters, who were like brothers to him; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha. Interment will be at 2:00 PM in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
