Roosevelt Brazel Jr
March 06, 1946 ~ June 29, 2016


Services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2pm at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin for Roosevelt Brazel, Jr. who passed away June 29, 2016 in Lawton at the age of 70. He was a resident of Lawton.

As a young man, Mr. Brazel played football in high school and was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 17. He served 3 tours in Vietnam and retired as a SGT after serving his country honorably as a Culinary Specialist for 21 years.

Mr. Brazel enjoyed fishing and music and was a fantastic cook. He also loved reading and watching movies. Mr. Brazel was a Saved man who will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife Leticia Brazel of Lawton; his son Alvaro Ridge of Lawton; his daughters Maribel Davis of Lawton, Rosalinda Andersen of Lawton and Ruth Ridge also of Lawton. Mr. Brazel is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Maria De Carmen and by his granddaughter Claudine Marroquin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service, Lawton.
