Eugene A. "Gene" Baker

A memorial service for Gene Baker, 82, of Oklahoma City, will be held at 10 am on Friday, September 19, 2008, at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, 7720 S. Penn, in Oklahoma City.

Gene Baker was born on March 2, 1926, in Mocane, Beaver County, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on September 12, 2008.

Gene was a U. S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and Korea.

He owned and operated B and R Heat and Air Company in Oklahoma City for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, in 2007, his parents, one brother and one sister.

Gene is survived by his children; Ron and Brenda Baker of Ninnekah, Eugene A. "Bill" Jr. and Susan Baker of Chickasha; Patti Bramlett of Oklahoma City, and Tammy and John Dimasi of Midwest City; three grandchildren: Russell and Stephanie Baker of Chickasha, Michael and Lisa Baker of Chickasha, and Sgt. Shannon Taylor of Midwest City; three great grandchildren; Shaylah Drake of Chickasha, Ella Baker of Chickasha, and Hayden Taylor of Midwest City; sister, Florence Salyer of Chickasha, nephew, Larry Cunningham of Edmond, and niece, Karen Osbom of Kansas.

Interment will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery.
