SFC Ludwig Georg Moore USA, Ret.

April 24, 1949 - July 16, 2018

Memorial Service for SFC Ludwig “Lu” Georg Moore USA, Ret., will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 1:00 pm at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
SFC Ludwig "Lu" Georg Moore USA, Ret., age 69, of Lawton passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence.
Lu was born on April 24, 1949 in Bamburg Germany to R.L. and Elizabeth Moore. He enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served for over twenty years. He served during the Vietnam War doing several campaigns and being awarded numerous medals and commendations. He retired in 1992 as a SFC, from the Army. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching soccer, fishing, grilling, playing pool and going to the mall, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog Baby.
Lu is survived by his wife Betty Moore of Lawton; one son, Marcus Moore of Lawton; two daughters, Anita Wagner and husband Mark of Elgin and Brie Pitcher Waters and husband Robert of Lawton and eight grandchildren, Jeremiah Catlisch, Sylus R.L. Moore, Mason E. Flores, Taylin Waters, Trevin Waters, Tasia Waters, Bubba Bobby Waters and Ty Ty Waters along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the Dew Drop Inn in Lawton, Ok, following the service.
