Bill Miller

September 26, 1947 ~ August 6, 2020

William "Bill" Ray Miller, 72, was born September 26, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee to Weldon Rhea and Alma Nervie Catherine (Gammons) Miller. He passed away on August 6, 2020, at his home with loving family at his side.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, at 12:00 noon in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with James Pinkerton officiating. Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Bill completed high school in 1968 and some college classes through the military while serving his country in the Army during the Vietnam War as a Tacfire Operations Specialist and received a Purple Heart and numerous other medals and commendations. He ended his career working for Civil Service. He married Sharla Reece on October 9, 1993, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He loved music and collected trinkets and movies. He enjoyed cleaning guns. He loved taking care of people. Bill loved his family dearly.
Bill is survived by his wife Sharla; children: Robert and Knisley Miller, Kassy and Eddie Myers, Jacob Miller, Kevin Miller; grandchildren: Scottie Jay, Kolt Myers, BellaRose Miller, Kasseddie Myers; great grandchildren: Brayden Marschessault, Gunner Jay, Sterling Jay; and sister, Mary Catherin Jennings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Robert Lee Miller and Harry Miller.
