Eddie W. Madden

April 24, 1928 - December 07, 2017

U.S. Veteran Eddie W. "Dot" Madden, age 89, of Lawton passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his residence.
Eddie was born on April 24, 1928 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Herbert Sr. And Alta (Morris) Madden. He went to school and grew up in the Little Rock area where he attended Shaw and Dunbar Schools. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for over twenty-six years. He joined New Life Church at an early age where he taught Sunday school for a number of years. He later joined St. Elmo Baptist Church where he was a trustee and a deacon. He was chairman of Anniversary Committee for many years after retiring from the Army in 1973. He worked for Midwest Furniture for six years and the McMahon Foundation for twenty-one years. Eddie was married to the late Adell (Haynes) Madden.
Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Sr. And Alta Madden; his wife Adell Madden; brothers, Herbert, Leon, George and Wiley Madden; sisters, Jewel Webster and Alta Madden and his daughter Wilbur Kay Madden, Eddie is survived by his sons, Larry Madden of Altus, Oklahoma and Steve Madden of Stringtown, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Eric Madden of Altus and Patrice Washington of Fort Hood, Texas; great grandchildren, Kalen Harris, Eric Madden Jr. and Terrell Johnson, close family friend Betty Madden, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
