Taiko M. Livaudais

It is with great sadness that the family of Taiko M. Livaudais announces her passing after a brief illness. Taiko passed peacefully at her Lawton home Friday, November 29, 2019, at the age of 84. Taiko was born in Kanagua Ken, Japan, on December 13, 1934 to Mutu Maruyama.
She was a devoted, joyful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Taiko and John met in Japan where he was stationed with the U.S. Army and were married in Tokyo in 1955. Taiko enjoyed her 13 years of employment at the McMahon Foundation where she developed many wonderful friendships with her co-workers. During her years as a honorary home-room grandmother, she received several plaques and awards for her volunteer work. She loved watching professional tennis, football, gymnastics and listening to classical piano music.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, CSM John R. Livaudais; her mother, Mutu Maruyama of Aomori, Japan; her sisters-in-law, Voncile Livaudais Ros (Paul) of Pascagoula, MS and Joan Livaudais Cooper of Ocean Springs, MS. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Livaudais Gyrion and Marlene Livaudais (William “Bill” Dorman) both of Tulsa, OK; her sister-in-law, Pauline Bing of Ft. Mill, SC; granddaughters, Valerie Staten Cottrell (Jeff) of Houston, TX and Natalie Staten Jones (Jeff) of Lawton; step grandchildren, JoAnna Blackstock and Daniel Dorman of Tulsa and great grandson, John Jones of Lawton, William and Wyatt Blackstock of Tulsa; nieces and nephews, Fred Ros (Marjorie) of Gautier, MS, James Savell of Pascagoula, MS, Mike Ros (Susan) of Birmingham, AL, Mark Bing (Donna) of Indian Land, SC, Brian Bing (Leann) of Norcross, GA, and Michele Sims (Alan) of Suverna Park, MD.
In leu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to United Way of Lawton-Ft. Sill, 1116 SW A Avenue, Lawton.
