Larae [Thomas] Whitfield

FLETCHER Funeral for LaRae Thomas Whitfield, 51, Fletcher, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Campbell and the Rev. Jim Hall officiating.

Mrs. Whitfield died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in Lawton.

Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Fletcher Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 21, 1957, in Oklahoma City, to R.R. "Peachy" and Lauretta Sanders Thomas.

She graduated with the Fletcher High School Class of 1976 and was a member of the Drama Club.

She married Bruce Whitfield on Nov. 23, 1974. She was a member of Fletcher Baptist Church and attended Falls Creek when she was younger. She was a member of the Oklahoma Brown Swiss Association and was on the Board of Directors for the Heart of America Expo. She served as the domestic administrator for the Paule View Dairy and attended stock shows.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter and her husband, Diana M. and Allyn Paulson, Juneau, Wis.; a brother and his wife, Roy Lynn and Kathy Thomas, Duncan; a niece and her husband, Tina "Blossom" and Chris Garncarz, Fletcher; a nephew and his wife, Roy Rex "Pete" and Marty Thomas, Nevada; a grandson, Suton A. Paulson, Juneau, Wis.; and several great- nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
