Sarah "Elizabeth" (Casey) Gamel was born on July 31, 1950 to Archie and Nettie (Matheney) Casey in Cottonwood , OK and passed away on July 6, 2011 with her family at her side in Oklahoma City at the age of 60.

Sarah attended and graduated from Coalgate High School in 1968. She married Billy Gamel on December 22, 1978. They have five children and nine grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy.

Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Archie Casey; six of her brothers and sisters; her niece Mechelle Dowdy and other loved ones.

She is survived by her her spouse, Billy Gamel of Coalgate, her mother Nettie Casey of Coalgate, brother Paul Casey and wife Evie of Centrahoma; sister Kathryn Foster of Cottonwood; her children, Charles Forester and wife LaDonna of Lane, Tina Strother of Lehigh, Amanda Gamel of Charleston, AR, Ryan Gamel of Coalgate and Laura Chavez and husband Justin of Coalgate; niece Stacy Cullum and husband Patrick of OKC; her nine deeply loved grandchildren, Tasha, Watson, Eric Strother, Nickolas Strother, sierra Johnson, Joshua Strother, Stetson Caldwell and Robert Mason. She leaves behind many other loved ones and close friends.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, officiated by Brother Quinton Thurman. Interment was at Woodman Cemetery.
