23 Year Old Man Found Dead

A 23-year old man was found dead Saturday morning at his home in Coalgate.

Coalgate police officer Rick Costantino said he received a call shortly after 8:00 a.m. Saturday to go to a residence on E.Taylor Street. The call came from Coal County EMS, which was already at the residence, he said.

Costantino stated that upon arriving at the resident, he was directed to a bedroom where the 23-year Billy Wayne Bowline, Jr. was found lying in bed deceased.

According to Bowline's mother, Thelma Butler, he had gone to bed at approximately 10:00 p.m. Friday night, Costantino said. When she checked on him approximately 8:00 Saturday morning, he was unresponsive.

The state Medical Examiner's office said, and due to Bowline's young age, a medical examiner responded to the residence. Brown's Funeral Service transported Bowline's body to Oklahoma City for autospy and toxicology tests. The toxicology test results will not be available for 16 -18 weeks, Constantino stated. There was no evidence of foul play, according to Constantino. The medical examiner did not give an estimated time of death, he said.

Bowline's funeral is scheduled for today (Wednesday) at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel. He is a 2004 graduate of Coalgate High School.
