Yvonne Billy Swain

Yvonne Swain, age 84, a lifelong Coalgate, OK resident, was born on Monday, June 7, 1937, to Andy and Bicey (Roberts) Billy, at Coalgate, OK. Yvonne passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Atoka, OK. She graduated from Round Hill High School. Yvonne was a LPN til her retirement. She married Leroy Swain on October 31, 1970 at Coalgate, OK. The celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing on March 19, 2012. Yvonne was a member of Gospel Lighthouse in Coalgate. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and caring for her pets. Yvonne was a full blood Choctaw/Chickasaw and was fluent in both languages.

Yvonne is survived by her grandson, Colt Sanders of Arkansas; granddaughter, Rachel Haire Ramsey of Ada, OK; brother, Samuel Paul Billy of Ohio; half brother, Ellis Carnes Jr. of Phillip, OK; half sister, Freda Louise(Carnes) Ott of Coalgate, OK; nieces, Dohna Bates and husband Bob of Yukon, OK, Pat Cooper and husband Roland of Atoka, OK; nephew, Preston Scott of Atoka, OK; great nephew, Zakk Bates of Edmond, OK; 14 great grandchildren; friend and caregiver, Rachel Jennings and husband Lonnie of Clarita, OK; along with other relatives and many dear friends. Yvonne was preceded in death by her father, Andy Billy; mother, Bicey (Roberts) Keel; children, Brian Orr, Lisa Noel Swain, Tammie Haire; siblings, Iva Jean Jackson, Verdelma Fobb, Sam Ed Billy, Amos Carnes, Eula Mae Billy.
