Noah Lee Burris "Sonny""
Noah Lee Burris "Sonny", a longtime Coalgate resident, was born on January 8, 1954, to Lee and Mildred (Bohanon) Burris, at Centrahoma, OK. He passed away on May 7, 2023 at Ada, OK at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 29 days. Noah graduated in 1973 from Tupelo High School. He worked for Ethan Allen in Atoka as a ripsaw operator. He later worked for the Choctaw Nation in Tribal Transit. Noah proudly served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He married Karen Anderson on May 23, 1975 in Ada, OK. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing. Noah was member of Round Lake Presbyterian Church. He always ensured that the church grounds were in tip top shape and ready for visitors. He enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals and talking on the phone for hours with his friend, Jeff Byington. Most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and just spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
