Name: Mildred Lee (Bohanon) Burris "Memo", a longtime Coal County resident BORN: August 18, 1923 at Albion, OK to Levi and Emma Bohanon Passed Away: On her birthday, August 18, 2012 at Coalgate, OK. Age: 89 years Married: Rev. Lee Burris on April 12, 1953 at the Round Lake Church in Centrahoma, OK. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1992. Education: attended Talihina schools Other: She was a member of the Round Lake Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she served as Secretary/Treasurer and Sunday School Superintendent. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, where she was active in the Senior Citizens Organization. She loved her family, loved to quilt, tell stories, but most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For her service in the Choctaw Cumberland Presbyterial CPW, she was recognized as a Perpetual Member. Survivors Children: Noah Burris and wife, Karen, of Coalgate, OK Vickie McClure of Tupelo, OK Doris Samuels and husband, Curtis, of Oktaha, OK David Burris and wife, Shirley, of Coalgate, OK Faye Ratcliff of Coalgate, OK Gwen Burris of Latta, OK Sue Chitto and husband, Jerry, of Centrahoma, OK Ola Burris of Coalgate, OK Ruth McDaniel and husband, Chock, of Bentley, OK Special Friend: Clara Anderson of Coalgate, OK Along with 21 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren, 44 Great-Great Grandchildren, numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends. Preceded in Death by Husband: Rev. Lee Burris Parents: Levi and Emma Bohanon Along with 2 daughters, 2 sons, 5 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren _____________________________________________________________________________ SERVICES Date: Tuesday, August 21, 2012 Time: 2:30 p.m. Place of Service: Brown's Funeral Chapel-Coalgate Interment: Round Lake Cemetery Officiating Rev. Dr. Virginia Espinoza, Rev. Hanna Bryan, & Trevan Jimboy Pallbearers: (Grandsons) Tommy Amos, Anthony Murphy, Dennis Ludlow, Jeffrey Burris, Chad Ratcliff, Trenton Harry, Trevan Jimboy, Joshua Burris, Joseph Burris, Jeremy Burris Honorary Pallbearers: Grandsons, Great-Grandsons, James Frazier, Jerry Chitto, Curtis Samuels, David Rice, and the staff of Brown's Funeral Service. Family night will be 6 to 8 pm Monday evening SERVICES UNDER THE DIRECTION OF BROWN'S FUNERAL SERVICE - COALGATE
