Willie Bouler, 85, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on March 24, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Willie was born to Austin and Maggie Bouler on June 13, 1930 in Putnam, Alabama. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1948 and left to join the Air Force, where he spent time in Texas, California, and Germany. He married Jean Sidoti in January, 1956, and they were stationed in Madrid, Spain; Mississippi and Montana. In Montana he truly enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman. He graduated from The College of Great Falls, in Great Falls, Montana in 1968 and retired from the Air Force in 1969. They relocated to Gulfport, Mississippi where he became a real estate broker and developer. He was happiest there while fishing on the islands in the Gulf. In 1995 they moved to Norman to be closer to family, and he embraced his role as “Papa Willie”. He loved going to watch his grandchildren’s ballgames and attend school activities. He also cherished the time he spent at Lake Eufaula hunting, fishing, and later just sitting on his porch gazing at the water and wildlife and enjoying his “lake family”. Willie will best be remembered for his love of nature and devotion to his wife, family, and encouragement and inspiration to his grandchildren, as well as his great cooking and kind manner.

Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Bouler; parents, Austin and Maggie Bouler and four sisters; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Granier.

Survivors include his daughters Judie Granier (Jim) of Littleton, CO and Debbie Bugg (David) of Norman, OK; his grandchildren, Brandon Granier of Littleton, CO; Bryan Bugg (Lindsey) of Denver, CO; Melissa Jennings (Brandon) of Norman, OK; Blake Bugg (Victoria) of Oklahoma City, OK and great-grandchildren Lane Grace Jennings of Norman, OK and William Bryan Bugg, of Denver, CO, arriving in June.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Willie to the American Heart Association at americanheart.org, or the organization of your choice.

Visitation will be 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00a.m, Monday, March 28, 2016 at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel.

Jean Bouler, 86, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on October 14, 2013. Jean was born to Frank and Sadie Sidoti on August 24, 1927 in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She and her husband, Willie Lee Bouler were married in January 1956. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, New Jersey. In the 1950’s she worked for the Port Authority in New York City, as well as at many military installations throughout the United States and in Madrid, Spain. Jean’s vibrant and humorous personality touched the lives of many colleagues, friends and family and she will be missed dearly. She and her friends enjoyed dancing to the big bands of the 1940’s at the ballrooms in New York City. Whenever Frank Sinatra appeared in concert in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Jean would leave her high school classes only to be found seated in the front row of the theater. She and her husband Willie enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping in Montana.  She also enjoyed sewing and ceramics.   Jean always had a special place in her heart for her husband, children and grandchildren.  One of the happiest places in her home was the kitchen where she delighted in preparing delicious Italian meals for her family.
