Michael Wayne "Mike" Tiger, 57, Oklahoma City, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, in Oklahoma City.
He was born June 24, 1954, to Webster and Geraldine (Panther) Tiger in Norman.
Mike was raised in Little Axe and attended Little Axe Schools, Noble High School and Norman High School.
He worked as a mechanic with Robert Spoon for many years.
Mike was a proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe. He attended Cross and Crowns Church. Mike enjoyed hunting, watching OU sports, taking walks, playing dominos and cards, especially solitaire, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster and Geraldine Tiger; brothers, Timothy "Bobo" Tiger and Steven Lawrence Tiger; sister, Barbara Little Charley Whittaker; grandmother, Catherine Masquat; nephew, David Wayne Watson; and niece, Kimberly Turtle.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Tiger, of Tecumseh; six sisters, Linda Tiger, of Oklahoma City, Patsy Tiger, of Taylor, Texas, Martha Watson and Phyllis Tiger, of Shawnee, Rosada Bowden, of Norman, and Pam Tiger, of Anaheim, Calif.; three brothers, Leonard Tiger and Darryl Tiger, of Shawnee, and Anthony Tiger, of Oklahoma City; two aunts, Diane Orosco, of Oklahoma City, and Nellie Maxwell, of Moore; two uncles, David Harris "Skipper" Jr., of Yakima, Wash., and Raymond Lee, of Kansas; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Wake service will be 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25, at Brendle Corner on the corner of Hwy 9 and Harrah-Newalla Road. Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at Brendle Corner with Brother Harold Williams and Evangelist Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Tiger Family Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
