Her love of animals was evident by her affection for St. Francis and she enjoyed traveling to his home town of Assisi, Italy.  Shirley had a deep love for all animals and especially for her beloved cat Zoey.  Shirley was an avid supporter of the University of Oklahoma and enjoyed tailgating at home football games with family and friends.
