Lynn Ray Pendergraft died January 22, 2016 in Norman at the age of 76 years 1 month 20 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Noble IOOF Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Lynn was born December 2, 1939 in Raiford, Oklahoma to Buel Henry and Dora May (Parker) Pendergraft. He was raised in Raiford, graduating from Putnam City High School in 1958. He was inducted into the United States Army on January 30, 1959, proudly serving his country. He was honorably discharged on September 21, 1964. On December 5, 1969, Lynn married Brenda Gayle Rose in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Lynn was a charter member of Tulakes Baptist Church in Bethany. He enjoyed fishing, Sooner and Dallas Cowboy football and Louis L’Amour books. He was a Welder and Foreman until his retirement from WH Stewart Company, as well as an amateur carpenter. Lynn loved his family and spending time with them barbequing, playing poker. He was an ornery jokester that taught by example, and his family never questioned love with him.

Lynn is preceded in death by parents, Buel and Dora Pendergraft; brother, Tommy Pendergraft and sister, Madena Pendergraft Wall.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; daughters, Terrie Cates and spouse, Sherman Williams, Sheridan Swafford and spouse, Keith; Tracey Pendergraft and spouse, Leland Long, Debbie Uwekoolani; grandchildren, Mark Hoffman and spouse, Sarah, Mishelle Schantz, Melissa Abrew, Staci Hoffman and spouse, Janeen Lovelace, Dustin Hoffman and spouse, Bryan Hunter, Sidney Cates and spouse, Lisa, Jacob Cates and spouse Brittney Davis; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, LouAnn Garroutte and spouse, Jerry, Ora Lee Mell and spouse, Howard; brother in law, Bob Wall, and numerous other relatives and friends.
