George DeWayne “Wayne” Mize, 74, of Blanchard, died Monday, November 20, 2017 in Oklahoma City. The son of George Braxton Mize and Lena Bell (Barnhill) Mize, he was born June 2, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

George was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked many years as a truck driver for a food distribution company. He was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on cars, and fixing anything that needed worked on.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruby Irene Mize; his second wife, Barbara Jean Mize; two brothers, Harvey Mize and Delbert Mize; and two sisters, Minnie Decker and Merle Mize.

George is survived by his three sons, Jarrod Mize and his wife, Dana, of Blanchard, Jim Maynard and his wife, Angela, of Blanchard and Tim Maynard and his wife, Judy, of Kansas, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Jonathan Mize and his wife, Tiffany, of Blanchard, Eric Mize and his wife, Rachel, of Blanchard, Lauren Holden and her husband, Rylan, of Shreveport, Louisiana, Melonie Maynard of Blanchard, Darren Maynard and his wife, Brittney, of Blanchard, and Amanda Maynard of Blanchard; six great grandchildren, Brynlee, Kynlee, Asher, Jace, Tate, and Drake; one sister, June Hook, of Utah; one brother, Edward Mize and his wife, Kathy, of Taft, California; and sister-in-law, Pat Mize, of Norman; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Noble IOOF Cemetery in Noble. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
