Funeral services for Keri Delene Rosebrook-Weuste, 57, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at First Christian Church, Guthrie with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating.

Private family burial will be at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Keri was born on July 10, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Delmar and Colleen (Pooler) Rosebrook. She died Thursday, March 12, 2009 in Oklahoma City.

Keri was a loving and devoted wife, and the best mother possible. She was also a sister, daughter, and committed, passionate friend. She was a woman who believed in the goodness of people, and spread love to all of those she touched. She was devoted to making the world a better place one child at a time through her 33 years working with Camp Fire USA. She was also known for having an open kitchen in an even more open and welcoming home. One of her favorite past times was to read a good book while David and Karl fished. Keri enjoyed cooking and baking, especially when attempting new and self-enhanced recipes. She proved her abilities over the years with consistent prizes in a variety of categories at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her cooking will leave a long and lasting legacy. For Keri, food was more than just a past-time as it was also her ministry. One of her greatest joys was preparing snack-supper for youth at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Guthrie. She was especially fond of sharing the Lord’s Supper with shut-ins as well.

Keri is survived by her husband Karl Weuste of the home; one son David Weuste of Ft. Worth, TX; mother Colleen Rosebrook of Oklahoma City; two brothers Collin Rosebrook and wife Rita and their children Loren and Cana and Ron Rosebrook and wife Bonnie and their children Brian and Katie; two sisters Mila Martin and husband Bruce and their daughter Brook and Pati Thurman and husband Randy and their son Levi; mother-in-law Ellamay Weuste; two brothers-in-law Michael Weuste and his children Dylan and Savannah and Craig Weuste and his children Zachery and Shawna; sister-in-law Ellen Smith and husband Jeff and their children Alan and Aaron; and many extended, yet close, family members, church family, and a plethora of friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Del Rosebrook and father-in-law Ralph Weuste.
After three different battles with various manifestations of breast cancer, Keri has gone to live in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. However, her spirit will live on in the many lives she has touched along her amazing journey.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Keri, to the Camp Fire USA-Camp Cimarron Fund or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation via www.info-komen.org/goto/keri
