William A. McCalip
William A. McCalip, 74, Noble, died Friday at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Primrose Chapel with the Rev. Warren Terry Officiating. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery, five miles east of Noble.
McCalip was born in Texas, March 11, 1902. He came to Cleveland County with his family in 1909 and had lived in the Noble area all of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie, two sons, Gelen of Wilmer, Tex, and Leonard of Denver, Colo.; a daughter Mrs. Nadine Michael of Moore; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Sterling of Norman and Mrs. Della Carpenter of Porterville, Ca.; two brothers Ive E. of Norman and Odas of Noble; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Olen McCalip, John McCalip, Ray McCalip, James Sterling, Lloyd McCrory, Dave Blair and Jimmy Kirby.
Honorary bearers will be Amos Moses, Guy Warren, Earnest Howery, Lewis Herman, George Odom, Orville Champeay, Walter Rath, Lloyd Upchurch, Clavin McCalip and Jack Blockhous.
