David Carter, age 71 of Lexington, died Friday, June 15, 2018, surrounded by his family at home.

David Fred Carter was born September 26, 1946  in Woodstock New Brunswick Canada. He grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and attended school there. David was a proud patriot and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He has spent countless hours advocating for Veterans care over the years. David married his best friend and life partner, Marianne Nielsen, and they have lived in the Lexington area since 1980. David loved everything to do with horses and he cared for his family with all his heart. He was a great friend to many, will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by:

          His daughters, Nancy Elizabeth Carter and Heather Margaret Carter,

          And his parents.

David is survived by:                                                                                                                  Wife: Marianne Carter

          Grandsons:

             Bryce Lane Carter, Joshua David Sawyer and

             Nathan Edward White;

          Siblings

             Marlene Dylis Burley, Nancy Lynn Eulie, James Kidd Carter and

            Elizabeth “Beth” Bousquet, and a host of other family and friends.
