Ronald Dee York, 66, of Norman passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was born June 8, 1950 in Norman, OK to Melvin Dee and Vera York.

He was the owner operator of York Dirt Work Incorporated for over 40 years. He loved racecars, endurance horse racing, and storytelling. His most passionate hobby was collecting friends. His friends were his treasures.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife Cathy York: his daughter Twyla Morgan: his brother Gene York: and his sister Shirley Newell. Ronald is survived by his wife of 13 years Judy York: his sons Tony D. York and wife Angie, Jack York and wife Stephanie, and Justin Woolverton and wife Megan: his daughters Tammy Maus and husband Paul and Shelli Wyatt: fifteen grandchildren: and three great grandchildren.

Visitation for will be from 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman with family to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Crosspointe Church 2601 24th Ave SE in Norman with interment following at Denver Cemetery in Norman.
