Cordelia (Dirt) Maxfield

Maxfield, Cordelia, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.  She was born May 5, 1928 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma to Wilbur Dirt and Irene Dirt Panther.

Cordelia was a nurse for Central State Hospital.  She enjoyed watching sports and game shows, crossword puzzles, traveling and reading her Bible.  She was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Indian Tribe.

Cordelia is survived by two daughters, Rita Robertson and husband Jim and Lisa Maxfield and husband Jeff both of Norman; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert “Rocky” Maxfield; two sons, Ted and Tom Maxfield; and grandson, Erik Robertson.

Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 27, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M. at Havenbrook Funeral Home. 

 Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Cornerstone Indian Baptist Church, 17020 E. Tecumseh Road, Norman with interment following in the Denver Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
