Mark Glen Spencer, age 48 of Lindsay, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Norman Regional Hospital. Mark was born January 9, 1971 in Lindsay. He was the fourth of five children born to Frank James Spencer and Willa Lee (Otto) Spencer.

He was raised in Lindsay and attended Lindsay Schools, graduating in 1989. Mark worked in restaurants, managed bait and tackle shops, and janitorial services. Most recently he was working in property management.

In addition, he was a full time caregiver for his mother Willa, and he considered it a great joy. Mark was the very definition of a people person. He would talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere. He truly knew no stranger. He gave selflessly of his time and energy, never expecting anything in return. He had a heart of gold, never hesitating to help anyone in need. Mark was easy going, with an incredibly mild temperament. No one can recall ever seeing Mark angry.

He loved telling corny jokes, online gaming, and had a knack for fixing things, including his cherished truck. In the past few years Mark has been enjoying bible study, and regular attendance at the Purcell Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, where he was loved by all.

Mark made the decision to improve his health and quality of life, electing surgery to help him do so. He worked very hard to achieve this goal. Sadly, he was unable to survive unforeseen complications, despite fighting bravely, with his family at his side.

Mark loved his family deeply. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. His family considers Mark a lost jewel that can never be replaced.

He was preceded in death by: His father,Frank James Spencer.

Mark is survived by: His beloved mother, Willa Lee Spencer of the home; Brother, Jimmy Spencer of Austin, TX; Sisters, Vonda Puckett and husband Phil of Edmond, Pamela Tippett and husband Steven of Irving, TX and Cynthia Spencer of Hobart, OK; Nieces and nephews, Falicia Ward, Krysta Owens, Zachary Sukenis, Broc Sukenis, Zachary Tippett, Kandis Vandewalker, Jaxson Taitano, Braelyn Ward, Zoey Owens, and Kennedy Sukenis.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.

A reception will follow at the Purcell Multi-Purpose Center. You may send online condolences to the family at Wilson-Little Funeral Home
