Funeral services for Mary Jo Rodriguez will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Rev. Doug McClure and Jesse West officiating and burial following at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Mary Jo Rodriguez was born November 11, 1934, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Stephen and Miriam (Bell) Morris. She passed from this life May 6, 2014, in Hugo, OK, at the age of 79.

Mary Jo married Henry Rodriguez on December 30, 1969 in Antlers, OK. Mary was a homemaker and lived in this area most of her life. She loved reading romance novels, taking summer road trips, collecting Barbie dolls and state quarter collecting.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Stephen and Miriam Morris; son: Stephen Donald West; three sisters: Pearl McCracken, Margaret Bookout and Ruth Morris; four brothers: George Morris, Charles Morris, Marvin Morris, and William Morris.

She is survived by husband: Henry Rodriguez of the home; children: Ruth Sanchez and husband John of Yuma, AZ; Vickie Lane and husband Larry of Mount Vernon, WA; Barbara Potts and husband Mike of Grand Junction, CO; Henry G. Rodriguez and wife Tracey of Oklahoma City, OK; Lela Rodriguez of Durant, OK; Twyla Perry and husband Alex of Ft. Worth, TX; sister: Eva Humphries of Hugo, OK; grandchildren: Laura Conde, John T. Sanchez, Scott Heyer, Christopher Fisher, Justin Fisher, Christy Thornton, Tommy Shannon, Jeremy Shannon, Jerome Shannon, Chrissy Norton, Jennifer Parnell, Daniel Rodriguez, Kimberly Rodriguez, Colin Perry and Alana Perry; 34 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 9, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
