Graveside services for Jackie Norris will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Shawn Robertson officiating and burial following.

Jackie passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Jackie Norris was born November 20, 1932, in Grant, Oklahoma, the son of Jack Richard and Lucille Belvin (Ables) Norris. He was born and raised in this area. He married Peggy Jane Webster on March 5, 1955, in Paris, TX. Jackie was a rancher and he worked hard. He was a member of the Masons, Soil Conservation Board for 30 years, and Grant Baptist Church. He loved to square dance.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Peggy Jane Norris in 2001; two sisters, Ann McMurry, Ray Jean Streetman.

Jackie is survived by one son, Richard Norris and significant other, Deidra Britt of Hugo, OK; one daughter Tanja Daniel and husband Randy of Hugo, OK; one brother, Joe Pate Norris of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Judy Moffitt and husband Donald of Powderly, TX, Joy Parker of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Stephanie Thornton, Mekeshia Wheeler, Terrance Bush, Ashley Norris; three great-grandchildren, Mekala, Kylee, and Tenley; brother, A.D. Davidson of Grant, OK; a slew of friends and relatives.
