Funeral services for James Walton Beasley will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Doug McClure officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. James passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 72.

James Walton Beasley was born November 1, 1940, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of W.F. "Snooks" and Inez (Keen) Beasley. He lived here for a total of 62 years and was very proud to be from Hugo. He could often be found at a local hangout, Braums or Taco Mayo, reading his newspapers or talking with friends. He served his country in the Air Force and he spent many years running his own business as a T.V. repairman. He was a high school math teacher and also worked for IBM as a technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by three daughters, Danielle Kunes and husband Jason of Grand Junction, CO, Melissa Beasley-Cox and husband Carl of Grand Junction, CO, and Kara Beasley of Orlando, FL; one brother, Ronny Beasley and wife Barbara of Hugo, OK; two nieces, Krista Beasley of Tulsa, OK and Jennifer Gray of Denison, TX; eleven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2013, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
