Lois Buel Riddle age 83 of Purcell, formerly of Lone Grove, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell.

Lois was born November 13, 1935 in Filmore, Oklahoma. She was the 6th child of seven children born to Willie Lee Robbins and Trudie Buel (Britton) Robbins.

Lois grew up a country girl living in various towns growing up. At the age of 19, she married Grafton James Riddle, known as "Chuck". They were married on Feb. 28, 1955 in Gainsville, Texas and together they raised two children, Michael and Ramona.

Lois worked hard as a wife, mother and homemaker. For 23 years she and her husband Chuck lived in various cities and states while he followed work in the oil field. They first lived in Pauls Valley, then New Mexico, Wilburton, Enid, South America and Wyoming. Then in 1978 they settled in Lone Grove. While living in Lone Grove she attended the Church of Christ.

Because of her failing health, Lois moved to Purcell in 2017, to be close to her son and his family. For the past two years she has been cared for as Sunset Estates Nursing Home.

Throughout her life, she and Chuck enjoyed hours of fishing together at area lakes. She also enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Willie and Trudie Robbins, Husband,"Chuck" Grafton Riddle in March 2007, Two sisters, Ruby Harbison and Jule Woods, Three Brothers, Clois, Dillard and Hoyt Robbins.

She is survived by: Son, Mike Riddle and wife Debbie of Norman, Daughter, Ramona Rowe and husband Terry of Lone Grove. One sister, Floy Woods of Shawnee. One sister-in-law, Joyce Robbins of Lone Grove. One brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Elizabeth Riddle of Elmore City. Six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great and one on the way.

Also many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 16, 2019 at Lone Grove Cemetery in Lone Grove, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
