Funeral Services for Sandra " Sandy" Ladon (Stearns) Fanning of Wilson were held at  2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Jackson officiating.

Interment followed at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson.  Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson        
 
She was born Oct. 29, 1936 to the late  Sidney Lee Stearns and Mrs. Katie Myrtle ( Hill ) Stearns in New London Texas and passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Healdton at the age of 73.

She was reared in Wilson attending Wilson Schools. She and  John Ross Fanning were married in 1959, at Gainesville, Texas.  They lived in California for a while before returning to Oklahoma.  She was a nurse's aide providing care for the elderly at their homes and also at several health care facilities.  She also worked as a convenience store clerk.   

Her husband John preceded her in death on July 24, 1981.  She was also preceded in  death by her parents; brothers, Floyd and Wayne; and sister, Ruby Jean Robison. 
 
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Lanier of Edmond, and Donna Storer of Nebraska; sons, Eddie Inmon and Bobby Inmon, both of Oklahoma City; sisters, Billie Lowery of Wilson, and Pauline Shores and husband, Dave of Wilson; brothers, Larry Stearns and wife, Glenda of Wilson, Ronnie Stearns and wife, Dottie of Wilson, Glenn Stearns and wife, Loretta of Moore and Kenneth Stearns of Wilson; several grandchildren and great-grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.    
 
Her nephews were pallbearers.
