Dalton Edward Abbott

Dalton Abbott, 75 of Anadarko was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Commerce, Texas to Ellis and Nancy Louella [Pope] Abbott, the oldest of four children and died Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at his home surrounded by his family.

He had three passions in life, his family, farming and ranching.

He married the former Viola Marie Blakley Feb 8, 1946 in Anadarko. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996.

He served his country in the Korean Conflict as a staff sergeant and was decorated with the World War II Victory Medal.

He lived all of his adult life in the Gracemont area and began farming and ranching in the 1940's.

Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel.

His children are Melody, Donna, Dalton Jr., Sandra & Danny.

Billy Leon Abbott

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 1989 at the Anadarko First Church of the Nazarene for Billy Leon Abbott, 52, of Anadarko, who died March 8, 1989 in Anadarko. Officiating was the Rev. Clinton Ferguson, pastor.

Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko.

Abbott was born February 6, 1937 at Lubbock, Texas

He married the former Junetta Pearl Wright June 8, 1957 in Anadarko, Ok. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1988.

He served with the U.S. Army from 1960 until 1963 and was later employed as a welder for Haines Manufacturing Company in Chickasha.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gracemont, OK. Preceding him in death was his wife; one daughter, Amanda Rose Abbott; his parents; and one brother, Joe Wayne Abbott.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Abbott of Anadarko; one brother, Bob Abbott of Blanchard, McClain county, Ok.; one sister, Mable Allen of Cement, Caddo county, Ok.; three grandchildren, April, Kristi and Amber Abbott of Anadarko; his late wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Wright of Anadarko and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday October 10, 1988 at the Anadarko First Church of the Nazarene for Junetta Pearl Abbott, 47, of Anadarko, who died October 6, 1988 at Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. Officiating was the Rev. Clinton Ferguson.

Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko.

Mrs. Abbott was born December 9, 1940 to David and Pearl Wright at Gracemont, Caddo county, OK.

She married Bill Abbott June 8, 1957 in Anadarko. She was a 1959 graduate of Anadarko High School.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Amanda Rose Abbott; and two foster sisters.

Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Jimmy Abbott of Anadarko; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Wright of Anadarko; two brothers, Roy Wright and Roger Wright, both of Anadarko; one sister, Rebecca Jane Doro of Chickasha, Ok., and three granddaughters, April, Kristi and Amber Abbott.

Kristina Rae Abbott

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday December 16, 1998 at the Church of the Nazarene in Anadarko for Kristina Rae Abbott, 17, of Anadarko, who died December 11,1998 at her home east of Anadarko. Officiating was Dr. John Cahill, pastor.

Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko.

Pallbearers were David Wright, Jason Wright, Paul Pittman, Zachary Blythe, Jeremy Wright and Dusty LaFerr.

Ms. Abbott was born July 21, 1981 to Jimmy Ray and Terri Elaine [Mitchell] Abbott in Anadarko, Ok.

She spent the first seven months of her life in the Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. and had numerous medical problems.

She was a lifelong resident of Anadarko and was a member of the junior class at Anadarko High School.

She was a former member of the FFA and a member of the Anadarko Church of the Nazarene. She loved hunting, fishing and playing golf.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Junetta and Bill Abbott; her paternal great-grandfather, David Wright; and her maternal great-grandfather, Archie Stahlman.

Survivors include her parents; two sisters, April and Amber Abbott, both of the home; one nephew, Braden LaFerr of the home; her maternal grandparents, Levi and Velta Mitchell of Minco, Grady county, Ok.; her maternal great grandmother, Edith Stahlman of Anadarko; her paternal great grandmother, Pearl Wright of Anadarko; one uncle, Curtis Mitchell of Minco, Ok.; one aunt, Naoma Korn of Yukon, Ok.; her special friends, Chris LaFerr, Gary Blackburn, Chris Thompson, David Wiles, Bennie Carter and their families; numerous cousins, great-aunts, uncles and other relatives and many loving friends and thoughtful neighbors.
