Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma January 12, 2002 Bessie Marie [Robertson] Williams Funeral services for Bessie Marie [Robertson] Williams, 85, Cement, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2002, in the First Baptist Church, Cement, with Bill Long, pastor, Cement United Methodist Church, and Rev. Roger Bennett, pastor, First Baptist Church, Cement, officiating. Mrs. Williams died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. Mrs. Williams was born October 2, 1916, in Cement, Oklahoma. She grew up in Cement and attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. She later graduated from Southwestern State University in Weatherford. She married Marlow Woodrow Williams in Cement on August 25, 1939. He died December 20, 1993. She taught school in Sera Blanca, Texas, and later taught in Montana. She moved back to Cement in 1966 and taught until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cement. Survivors include: 2 sons: Robert Williams, Cement, Oklahoma, Darrell Williams, Cement, Oklahoma; 2 daughters: Marla Morton, Cyril, Oklahoma, Sherrill Pierce, Cement, Oklahoma; 15 Grandchildren: Kris Kinder, Kelly Pearcy, Kurt Kinder, Tomasa Gomez, Robert Williams, Jr., Jimmy M. Williams, Derald D. Williams, Nakoa Williams, Derrek Williams, Erik Williams, William Morton Jr., David Morton Jr., David Morton, Raymond Morton, Michael Shawn Pierce and Ricky Lee Pierce; 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brother: J.V. Robertson, Cement, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Verna Paul, Denver, Colorado, Betty Hendricks, Purcell, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet (Kinder) Woods, in 1992, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Sympathy cards may be sent to the family online at www.robbinsfuneral.com |
