John D. Hinton

Funeral service for John D. Hinton, 84, of Cement, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in the Cement Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Brother Alvin Roberts will officiate, and Nephew Dale Stephens will assist.

John D. Hinton was born April 25, 1918, in Cole, Okla., and died on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, in Chickasha, Okla.

Burial will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.

Faye Lavelle [Hood] Hinton

Funeral service for Faye Lavelle Talbert Hinton will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Southern Hills Church of Christ, Chickasha, with Jarred Pettijohn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cement Cemetery, Cement, Oklahoma, under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton.

Faye Lavelle Hinton, age 92, died Friday, November 10, 2017 in Blanchard.

She was born May 2, 1925 south of Cement, Oklahoma, to Thomas Franklin and Naoma Deneva [George] Hood. She grew up in the Cement area, attending area schools.

She married Woodie D. “Bill” Talbert on March 7, 1946 in Cement. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1996. She later married John D. Hinton in September of 1999. He died on January 28, 2003.

Mrs. Hinton was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ, having been active with the Cement congregation for many years and more recently the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha. She enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour books, telling jokes and playing the French harp.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Delva and Gerald Mandrell, Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Redonda and Nick Thomas, Blanchard, and Bill and Marion Talbert, Lexington, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Wayne, Mark, Tandi, Andrea, Kristen, Shambra, Roy, Brandon, Andrea and Lindsay; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, brothers, Ruby, Simon, Everett, Dewey, Oliver and Eddie, sisters, Velma and Rosa, twin siblings who died at birth, and a great granddaughter, Alexis Nicole, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Oaks Church of Christ, 3320 S 16th St, Chickasha, OK 73018.
