David Brian McLean

David Brian McLean was born Wednesday, July 5, 1944 in Brawley, California to George Anthony McLean and Minerva (Bailey) McLean. He passed from this life on Monday, January 1, 2024 in his home at the age of 79.

David married the love of his life, Sharon Kay McLean on August 15, 1963 in Brawley, California and came to Durant in 1978. David worked as a mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed reading, shooting his guns, and loved being with family.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Minerva McLean; grandparents Blanch and Ray McCollough; and a brother Ernest McLean.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon, of the home; daughter, Tammy Goodwin and her husband, Stephen, of Midwest City, OK; son, Matthew McLean of Durant; daughter, Melissa Halbrooks of Sherman, TX; sisters, Mary Slaughter of Brawley, CA, and Barbra Barros of El Centro, CA; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Brown's Funeral Home chapel with Pastors Bill Ledbetter and Darrell Edwards as officiants. Committal services will follow at Highland Cemetery pavilion with David Ansiel, Bobby Ansiel, Chase Bryant, Matt McLean, Stephen Goodwin, Brad Drye, and Nikola Cakarevic serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 4, at Brown's Funeral Home.
