CLARA ODESSA JONES

The funeral for Clara Odessa Jones, 81, of Watonga, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Watonga Christian Church. The Revs. David Johnson and Neil Sexton will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery , Watonga. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga.

She was born Jan. 12, 1927, in Butler to Hayes and Mae Cochran Broadbent and died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008.

She had been a resident of Fay since 1951, where she was a homemaker and farmer. She was a graduate of Hammond School and a member of Church of Christ, Watonga.

She married Carl Jones July 13, 1946, in Taloga.

Surviving are one son, Ferris Jones of Fay; one daughter, Carla Lassiter of Watonga; one sister, Faye Kauk of Stillwater; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, two brothers and five sisters.
