Lilburn Johnson’s white stone reads:
Co. L
7 Mo S.M. Cav
A precious one from
us is gone, a voice we
loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in
our home which never
can be filled.
God in his wisdom
has given and though
the body slumbers
here, the soul is
safe in heaven.
Lilburn’s plot is located in the Watonga, OK IOOF Cemetery, located on 4th Street, north end of city.
As you go into the main gate, drive to bell tower, then come back west, 2 rows, first plot (location Block 2, Lot 56).

Strong belief that Louisa is buried next to Lilburn but no stone or records reveal she is buried there except her death certificate.

Lilburn was born 26 Jan 1844; Whitley County, Kentucky and died 20 Dec 1913, Frederick Oklahoma, age 69; farmer
Louisa Hartley Johnson information:
age 72 yrs 4 mos 4 days...listed at time of death on Louisa’s death certificate
5.  Louisa’s death certificate indicates she is buried at the Watonga IOOF Cemetery.  Since the cemetery has no record of Louisa being buried  (burial date July 29, 1924) there, one would tend to believe that she is buried next to Lilburn.  There is about 20 feet between Lilburn’s and the next stone for another family.
