MICHAEL WILLIAM CUNNINGHAM

A graveside service for Michael William Cunningham, 60, of Watonga , will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in IOOF Cemetery, Watonga , followed by a memorial service at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Watonga . Orval Peters will officiate. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Watonga .

He was born March 1, 1948, in Washington, D.C., to Martin William and Mildred Hartenberger Cunningham and died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

He was a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State College and Oklahoma City University Law School. He practiced as an attorney in Watonga . He retired as a chief warrant officer in 1994 from Oklahoma National Guard Judge Adjutant General Division after 23 years. He served as Oklahoma District 4 assistant district attorney and was associate district judge of Blaine County two terms. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Oklahoma Bar Association, Watonga Lions Club and Oklahoma Democratic Party.

Surviving are his wife, Linda of the home, one daughter, Christy of St. Louis; one son, Mark of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Carolyn Wolf of Des Moines, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, or Oklahoma Humane Society.
