Virginia Louise (Beneda) Cox
July 7, 1927 ~ October 18, 2020

Virginia Louise was born of July 7, 1927, near Hitchcock, OK, to Jim and Elsie Beneda. Her siblings were Susie (Johnny) Raab, Franky (Virginia) Beneda and Mae Beneda. (All deceased.)

She married Sam Cox (farmer) on August 26, 1944. They worked side by side until his death in 1986.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Watonga and taught Sunday School.

While her sons Michael and Bobby were FFA members, she was president and treasurer of the Mothers Club. She was a great seamstress, world-wide traveler, and the best of Moms.

Charlotte (Larry) Norwood and Bobby said goodbye to their mom on Sunday, October 18, 2020. As did her grandchildren, Chaze (Kari) Cox, Shawn (Debbie) Cox, and April (Darren) Scott. Also, her great-grandchildren, Sammy and Chezlee Cox, Skylar and Dakota Cox and Claysen, Hudson and Briley Scott.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband Sammy, son Michael, grandson Robert and daughter-in-law Karen. She
leaves behind many relatives and friends.

Her graveside services will be held at I.O.O.F cemetery in Watonga, OK, Thursday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Adam Lovitt officiating, and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers include: Bobby Cox, Larry Norwood, Chaze Cox, Shawn Cox, Claysen Scott and Hudson Scott.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, or the charity of your choice.
