Sara Mae Brower
March 21, 1916 - August 14, 2011


Sara Mae Brower, age 95, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away August 14, 2011, in Guthrie. She was born March 21, 1916, in Greenfield, Oklahoma to Shelly and Edna (White) Ball.

She married Avery Brower on March 12, 1934, in Geary, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Survivors include four children, Roberta Isley (Gayle Yearwood) of Guthrie; Gary and Karon Brower of Guthrie; Sheila Brower of Watonga and Brent Brower of Watonga, grandchildren Karen Apala of Guthrie; Lynn Wall of Katy, TX; Crystal Hinkle of Broken Arrow; Tisha Richardson of Kansas City, KS and Allen Brower of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, a special niece Mona (Larry) Boden of Watonga; three sister-in-laws and a former son-in-law Danny Apala of Guthrie. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, one sister and one sister-in-law.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 17, 20ll, at the IOOF Cemetery, in Watonga, Oklahoma with Chaplain Sam Gardner officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
