NATHAN L. BLEVINS

WATONGA - The funeral for Nathan Lester Blevins, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Watonga First Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Vermillion will officiate. Burial will be in Watonga IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary.

He was born Feb, 27, 1916, at Mountainburg, Arkansas. to Fletcher and Onie Swift Blevins and died Friday April 12, 2002.

He grew up southwest of Watonga where he farmed, operated a service station, worked as a night watchman and for the city of Watonga. He was a member of the Watonga First Baptist Church and Watonga Senior Citizens Center.

On December 24, 1938, he married Bertha Lucille West.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille of the home; three sons, Lloyd of North Carolina , Melvin of Lewisville, Texas, and Timothy of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Wilma Lee Threlkeld of Watonga and Patricia Ann Lefebvre of Edmond; three brothers, Howard, Elmer and Henry; two sisters, Winona Daniels and Wanda Wheeler; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and three sisters.
