W. Ray Barrick, passed on June 7, 2022, at his home in Lawrenceburg, TN after a short illness.

His memorial service will be held in Watonga, OK at the I.O.O.F Cemetery on July 8th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Father Benjamin Lwin officiating and arrangements entrusted to Wilkinson Mortuary.

Ray was born in Custer County, OK to Madison Ward and Glenora Pearl. He started his work life as a mailroom clerk for Skelly Oil Company, promoted to draftsman and closed out his career as Purchasing Manager of Getty/Conoco. He married Mary in 1953 and raised 5 kids (3 daughters and 2 sons). During their marriage they lived in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas and Kansas. While working he found a passion in painting oil landscapes and has some of his paintings on display in a museum in Oklahoma. After retiring, he and Mary enjoyed their time raising registered Brahmans in Pittsburg, TX. At age 70 they decided to take advantage of retirement and relocated to Alvin, TX.

Ray was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, he opened his heart and his home to many over the years and he will be sorely missed.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Mark and his parents Madison Ward and Glenora.

He is survived by his children, Stacey Klassen and husband Bob, Walter Barrick and his wife Leigh, Susan Brady, Cindy Dauber and daughter in law Suzanne Barrick. Grandchildren Emmy, Paige, Tyler, Seth, Erin, Lainey, Madison and great grandchildren Beau, Leni, Evan, Zoe and Max.
