Dr. Thomas M. lsbill, 72, of Edmond, OK, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011. He was born January 27, 1939 in Kingfisher, OK to Samuel and Lela Isbill, and grew up in Okeene, OK, graduating from high school in 1957. He earned a B.A. in Photography from OBU, where he met Patricia Wallace whom he married in Aug. 1960.He continued his education by earning his M.A. and PH.D. Degrees and later completed a Master's of Education from UCO. He earned his Cert. Prof. Photographer Degree and his Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. In 1962 he joined the KOCO-TV Ch. 5 team as Assist. Dir. of Photography and News Reporter. He opened his studio, Tom lsbill Photography, in 1965 and with Patricia's help provided the greater Oklahoma City area with professional quality wedding, portrait, commercial and industrial photography. Dr. lsbill taught photography at Okla. City S.W. College, OSU—OKC, OCCC, Francis Tuttle Career-Tech, and was a Photography Director and an adjunct professor at UCO. He served as Operations/Security Mgr. on Tinker AFB for Allied Resources, Inc., was a Research Photographer for the OU Health Sciences Center, and also the official photographer for the Okla. Military Dept. He was a former Lt. Gov. of the Kiwanis TX-OK District and President of the Professional Photographers of Okla. He finished his Christian walk at Highpointe Church in Okla. City. Dr. lsbill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ted. He is survived by his wife of 50 years; two sons, Greg and wife Judy of Churchville, MD and Roger and wife Elizabeth of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Emily lsbill of Norman, OK, Rachel and Megan lsbill of Churchville, MD, William and Sierra lsbill of Oklahoma City, and Keyanna Flowers of Noble, OK; three sisters, June Berntsen and husband Harold of Kansas City, MO, Gerry Long and husband Raymond of Wasco, CA, Bettie Benham and husband Lane of Enid, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Oklahoma County and Staff of Integris House.Formal visitaion will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Matthews Funeral Home with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. on Monday June 6, 2011 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment at 3:30 p.m. in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene, Oklahoma.
