LEE NICHOLS


OKEENE - The memorial service for Lee Nichols, 69, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Woodstock, Ga. Burial will be in Georgia National Cemetery , Canton, Ga.

He was born July 10, 1941, to Charles "Chigs" and June Vance Nichols and died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at his home after a battle with cancer.

Lee was a graduate of Hillsdale High School, class of 1959. He married Patricia Booher in 1961. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1963 with a degree in forestry. He served with the Army and had a tour of duty in Vietnam. He later worked for TWA as a captain until his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Diane; three sons, Chris Nichols, Miami, Fla., Steve Nichols, Loveland, Colo., and Brad Nichols, Huntington, Md.; stepdaughter, Aja Sweet, Woodstock, Ga.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Brown, Enid.

Memorials may be made to Kids Bible Club, P.O. Box 1077, Woodstock, GA 30118.
