ENID — Funeral services for William G. McConnell, 84, Fairview, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, in the First Assembly of God Church in Fairview with Pastors Domingo Herrera and Sarah Lee officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Bill was born on April 14, 1927, in Longdale, Oklahoma, the son of William Morgan and Glennie Jones McConnell, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Enid Senior Care. He was raised in Longdale, later moving to Enid where he worked for the City of Enid in Waste Management.

Bill moved west of Fairview, where he farmed the land and raised dairy cattle. Bill married Delilah Mary Branham west of Fairview on June 4, 1952. He moved to Missouri in 1979 and then back to Fairview. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Canton.

Survivors include his wife, Delilah, of the residence; son, Mike and wife Angela McConnell of Enid; and twin grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia McConnell.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alman McConnell.
