Stanley Dee Harris Sr. Oct. 8, 1931 Jan. 6, 2006 Visitation for Stanley Dee Harris Sr. will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. noon with graveside services held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Cherry will officiate.
Stanley was born October 8, 1931 in Geary, Oklahoma and he passed away January 6, 2006 in Bakersfield, California.
Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Harris.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Cheryl Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley D. and Kathy Harris Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Phil Carpenter; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Brett Davidson; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Harris as well as many other family members and friends.
Stanley retired from the United States Navy after 24 years of service to our country.
He was an active member of the Kern County Associated Veterans Association, the American Legion, the VFW and the Moose Lodge. He was also a life time member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was loved by all that knew him and he will be deeply missed. For additional service or floral delivery information, please contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200.
