Obituary for Betty Lou Bradstreet

Betty Lou Bradstreet was born September 24, 1927 in Geary, Oklahoma to Ora R. and Edna (Eaton) Arganbright. She passed away August 8, 2015 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 14 days. Betty grew up in Geary and at the age of 16 she moved to Lake Valley, Oklahoma with her family. She later moved to Wheeler, Texas to live with her uncle, Narvel Arganbright, and help him run a Produce Store. While working there, she met Coy N. Bradstreet and they were married in Wheeler on January 8, 1946. They remained in Wheeler where Coy worked as an auto mechanic for dealerships until he and Betty opened their own Auto Repair shop. After retiring, they moved to Foss Lake in 1982. In 1995, Coy passed away and Betty sold the house at Foss Lake and moved to Elk City to make her home. Betty's favorite hobby was fishing but she also loved to sew, cook and garden. Her greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, Luella Bollinger; 2 brothers, Billy Arganbright and Oran Arganbright and 1 son-in-law, Lloyd Scrivner. She is survived by 3 daughters, Paula Helton and husband, Perry, Wheeler, Texas, Pam Boyer and husband, Bob, Carter, Oklahoma and Linda Scrivner, Reydon, Oklahoma; 1 son, Bradley Bradstreet, Weatherford, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Iva Dell Basket, Cooperton, Oklahoma, Wanda McDougle, Cordell, Oklahoma and Rosa Smith, Agra, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Leland Arganbright, Cordell, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; her special neighbors and friends, Ezra and Melanie Randle and Family of Elk City, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
